Former editor-in-chief of Times Now, Arnab Goswami, will launch his next venture in early next year and it will be called ‘Republic.’

The channel, Republic, is likely to go on air early next year, just before the crucial Uttar Pradesh elections.

This announcement came hours after Rahul Shivshankar of NewsX took charge at Times Now as his successor.

Arnab had resigned from Times Now on 1 November. He was the Editor-in-Chief and President, News, of Times Now and ET Now.

He lately earned plenty of flak for his pro-government editorial agenda even prompting some of his former senior colleagues to call him a disgrace to journalism.

  1. DISLIKE TO WATCH NEWS CHANNEL WITHOUT ARNAB.AWAITS HIS”REPUBLIC” TO WATCH. WHENEVER I OPEN THE MY FAVOURITE “TIMES NOW” RaGa IS IN THE CHANNEL.I COUDN`T ABLE TO WATCH THE CHANNEL. IN THE DEBATE NO STRONG REACTION TO COUNTER THE ANTI NATIONALISTS FROM THE “TIMES NOW”. MY BLOOD IS BOILING TO WATCH THE COUNTERLESS DEBATE LIKE ARNAB.NOW ANTI NATIONALISTS RAISE THEIR VOICE IN HIGH PITCH BECAUSE THERE IS NO ARNAB. AWAITS “REPUBLIC”
